Tullum DOCG, a white wine from the Abruzzo region, is known for its bright straw yellow color. It has a delicate, fruity aroma with hints of citrus and white flowers. On the palate, Tullum DOCG is dry, fresh, and harmonious, with a pleasantly acidic finish. Its medium body contributes to a well-rounded and balanced taste.

History

The Tullum DOCG, formerly known as Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC, was first recognized as a DOC in 1996. It was then upgraded to a DOCG in 2008. The wine is named after the ancient Roman city of Tullum, which was located in the current production area. The change of name was made to emphasize the specific territory, its history, and the quality of the wine produced there.

Geographical Production Area

Tullum DOCG is produced in the Teramo province of the Abruzzo region, in the area around the town of Tollo. The region is characterized by its hilly terrain, with vineyards located at an altitude of 100-300 meters above sea level. The climate is typically Mediterranean, with mild winters and hot, dry summers. The soil in this area is predominantly clay and limestone, which contributes to the unique characteristics of the Tullum DOCG wine.
