Climate and soil The Wurttemberg region is blessed with a temperate climate that ensures ideal grape growing conditions. The average annual temperature ranges between 10 to 14°C, providing a warm environment for the grapes to ripen perfectly. The region's rainfall is well distributed throughout the year, ensuring consistent water supply, particularly during the summer growing season.
The soil composition of Wurttemberg is as diverse as its grapes. The northern areas are dominated by limestone and marl, offering a mineral-rich environment for grapevines. Towards the south, the soils become more loamy, providing excellent drainage and fertile grounds, ideal for producing the region's characteristic wines.
