Weinviertel, also known as Lower Austria, is a fertile region that boasts approximately 16,000 hectares dedicated to viticulture, making it Austria's largest wine-producing area. The region is renowned for its diverse grape varieties, high-quality yields, and the production of distinctive types of wine, including the prestigious Designation of Origin (DOC) and Designation of Origin Guaranteed (DOCG).
The land's topography with south and south-west-facing slopes, coupled with loamy soil, provides a conducive environment for grape cultivation, resulting in a high annual production of several hectoliters of wine.
