History The Sylvaner Verde grape, also known as 'Sylvaner' in the Registry of National Vine Varieties, has a fascinating history. There are two theories about its origins. Some believe it originated in the Middle Rhine valley, while others argue Styria (Austria) is its birthplace.

Ampelographic features Leaf: The leaf of the Sylvaner Verde grapevine is comparably small and roundish, potentially featuring three lobes. The upper side is a light, opaque green, while the bottom side is a vivid green, highlighted by brilliant ribs.
Bunch: The bunches are small in size, often cylindrical with a wing, and are somewhat compact. The pedicels are short and green.
Acino: The acino is medium-sized and spherical or slightly ovoid. The skin is pruinous, thick, and tender, featuring a yellow-greenish hue and dotted appearance.
