History Albanello is a grape variety native to Sicily, Italy, where it has been grown for centuries. It was initially cultivated in the province of Siracusa and has since spread to other regions of the island.
Despite its long history, Albanello was almost lost to obscurity in the mid-20th century due to the rise of more commercially viable grape varieties. However, a renewed interest in indigenous grape varieties in recent years has seen a resurgence in its cultivation.
Characteristics of the wine Wines produced from the Albanello grape variety are typically dry and full-bodied, presenting a bright golden color. They often feature a complex bouquet of aromas, including notes of citrus, green apple, and almond.
